The Sisters High" is a four-piece neo-punk rock band from Niigata, Japan. They have just completed a new EP "Wicked Angel Vitaaru" following the EP "disLOVEaru" released in August last year. With their high-impact work, tour title, and frontman guitarist/vocalist's name, "This is why women and children are so popular," one might get the impression that the band is a doomed, eccentric punk rock/rock 'n' roll act, but that may or may not be true. Indeed, the predecessor band started with "This is Why Women and Children" (G/Vo), whom "Masayangu" (G) approached only because he saw her walking around the university campus in an eccentric outfit, and the fact that "Kai" (Ba), who had no band experience, was recruited in a spirited manner is an episode of complete swagger.However, "disLOVE-ru" was full of sense despite its lyrics littered with unorthodox words, and while the songs and guitars were bursting with distorted rock 'n' roll, it was still pop music in every sense of the word, The band's style is to release their passion with all their might and sincerity. The fact that they performed "Yaritai Hanami" as three consecutive songs, with each of the three members taking a vocal role, at their first one-man show is a clear example of this purity. Last year, they held the "disLOVE-ru" release tour for three months, and even in these times, they actively went to live houses and performed at the camp-in festival "WIRELESS CARNIVAL," the circuit event "TOKYO CALLING 2022," "MINAMI WHEEL 2022" and "SAKAE SP-RING 2022. They have won high acclaim for their sound that reaches well into the overground. And their new work "Wicked Angel Vitaaru" is an ambitious work that allows you to taste more of their flavor.Despite the title, "Kusabare Live House" exudes affection with its floating vocals and spacey arrangement, and "Tenshi no Gomenne" is a slow number that is filled with melancholy and speaks to the audience like a rapid-fire gun. The song "Tenshi no Gomen Ne (Angel's Sorry)," a slow number with a melancholy tone, "C♯memorial," and "Tangerine," a song with an exquisite tension and a tear-jerking melody, are all five songs. The sound approach has become more multifaceted, and the album is finished with a sense of unfathomable potential. The band's powerful and energetic performance is sure to open up a new chapter in the rock scene, which tends to remain stagnant, and they are sure to take the world by storm.
