Igor Levit, a young Russian pianist prodigy with perfect technique and artistic maturity, made his surprise debut in 2013 with a major 2-CD set of Beethoven's Late Piano Sonatas (Nos. 28-32), and over the next six years he recorded the complete set of 32 The long-awaited recording of Beethoven's Sonatas (Nos. 28-32) was the first of its kind in the world. The long-awaited session recordings of all 32 Beethoven piano sonatas have been completed, and the result is this box set. This complete collection is positioned as one of the most important releases for Sony Classical in preparation for the 250th anniversary year of Beethoven's birth in 2020. The young master's huge collection of Beethoven's 32 piano works, the "New Testament of Music," a milestone in the history of piano music, and indeed all music, is sure to attract a great deal of attention.
