Moonlight Sorcery released their long-awaited first full-length album at the end of 2023 and gained popularity due to their innovative style that combines black metal musicianship and speed/melody. The band's guitarist, Matti Meri Hutti aka Loitsmestari Taikakaro, leads another Finnish melodic death metal band, Vansidian, which released its first album "Reflecting the Shadows" in 2023, which was independently produced and only released for distribution. Reflecting the Shadows" is now available as a physical CD for the first time in the world. In addition, a cover song by Anaialator, produced especially for the Japanese edition, is included as a bonus track. While Moonlight Sorcery's work "Castle of Briars" is characterized by its black metal musicality, Vansidian's musicality is full of crying melodies, combining the musicality of early melodic death metal with unique riffs inspired by retro games. Vansidian will finally debut in Japan, showing a new side of Matti, who loves Japanese bands and games in particular.
