Description:

The film "i ai," directed and written by GEZAN frontman Mahitu the Peepo and officially entered in the 35th Tokyo International Film Festival's "Future of Asia" section, is being released on ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK, composed entirely by the director and GEZAN frontman, in March! Working with Ihei Kimura Award-winning photographer Masashi Sanai, GEZAN's music casts a spell over the vividly captured world of the film, blurring the boundaries between fantasy and reality and giving it a deeply imaginative quality. A treasure trove of inspiration, yet a consistent listening experience, the experimental and generous character of the music always manages to convey the sights, temperatures, and smells through the eardrums. The song "Aiai," which is performed subtly in the film, is an alternative, intense EMO song with a hint of Dischord, and Mirai Moriyama's screams echo, recording the frustration of a real live music club, not a studio recording or guess work. AUGHOST, sung by Kyoko Koizumi as the manager of a live music club, is a two-beat melodic punk song that pierces through the blue world, and is a portrait of youth that sings of fragility and hope. The song with OLAibi, who regrettably passed away, is filled with a prism that communicates with the universe, a disturbing prism that transcends musical genres with impunity. Midori Yamada of the hatch, who played the trombone, depicted a soft heat that lingered over the quietness of the room. The main theme "i ai," which is the final fruition of GEZAN's unique perspective that has been called "like a movie" every time he releases an album, brings together artists who have colored the space from various angles, and the voices of not only the cast but also all the behind-the-scenes staff are gathered together as a refrain chorus to create a magnificent picture scroll. The psychedelia induced by the arpeggio renews the catharsis of the adventure that has traversed the spectrum from the heated to the furious.Cover photo by Masashi Sanai, who also took charge of photography; recording by Naoyuki Uchida; chorus by Million Wish Collective; editing by Eagle Taka; mastering by Kentaro Kimura; design by Roscull Ishihara; and a CD-only bonus track, an acoustic version of Mahitu the Peepo's song AUGHOST acoustic version sung by Mahitu the Peepo is included as a CD-only bonus track.
