Energy Path, the 40th album by guitarist Shin Sasakubo, whose roots are in Chichibu, is a record of transformative music born from his experiences in the mountains of Chichibu One day in May 2024, I was photographing a spring in Chichibu called "magic water/ mysterious water". The reflection of light transformed the water's appearance into that of fire or ore, reminding me of the harmonics of a guitar. The photo taken that day became the cover of the album, which was born out of a further exploration of "sounds that are not heard but are present," which was one of the concepts of the 39th album "Human Poetry. Carlos Niño, who is currently touring with Andre3000, participates on several tracks and plays a spiritual force role in this work. (Commentary by Shin Sasakubo)
