Flavio Motalla is a composer born in Zurich, Switzerland. He was trained by Elmer Bernstein, the great composer of film music, and is a great "film music composer," but he has also composed many works for concerts, which have been performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony and many other orchestras, moving people. This album is his first "concert" album. This album is representative of his "concert" music. It consists of four full orchestra and soprano vocalises and one interlude, and depicts events that occur at various stages in life with a lyrical and nostalgic sound reminiscent of Korngold, a forerunner of film music.
