The two works are performed in chamber music style without a conductor. The first movement of Mahler's Symphony No. 10, known as "Swan Song," is almost complete in this unfinished work, but this time it has been arranged for string orchestra, giving it a new appeal. Both symphonies are characterized by dramatic and intense emotional ups and downs, with an underlying mood of "death and separation. The relationship between Kremer and ECM dates back to the famous recording of Pärt's "Tabula Rasa. Since then, he has performed live at the Lockenhaus Festival and his own "Unaccompanied" Bach cycle, all of which have been outstanding. Founded by Kremer in 1997, Cremelata Baltica tours six times a year in Asia, Europe and the United States, giving approximately 60 concerts each year. Most of its repertoire is contemporary music, but it also enjoys playing so-called "modern" music, which, as everyone knows, brings a lot of joy to its audiences. ［Comments provided by Universal IMS Co.
