Description:
The band Alterations, consisting of Steve Beresford, Peter Cusack, Terry Day, and David Toop, released their first album on David Toop's Quartz label in 1980. New ideas were brought to the table, and in addition to the many traditional instruments played by the group, a number of simple musical toys, sound makers, and homemade instruments were used. This second release works in similar territory, but takes it to another level with casual use of noise and feedback and plenty of indulgence in familiar song fragments and rhythms, albeit somewhat controversially as improvisation.
