Description:

A touching and soulful communion of souls on the subject of simple blues. Milt Jackson and Ray Charles, two of Atlantic's signature artists who took the world by storm with their soulful playing, performed together in 1958 on the classic album "SOUL BROTHERS," which was reissued in monaural and reissued in analog. Milt Jackson, also known as a member of MJQ, and Ray Charles, who explored the world of modern jazz, once again create the excitement of the "soulful exchange" between the two masters...! Milt Jackson, a jazz vibraphonist known as a member of the Modern Jazz Quartet, and Ray Charles, a highly successful R&B singer and Atlantic's signature artist whose soulful playing took the world by storm in the 1950s. The two musicians met and performed together in a dream collaboration on the classic 1958 album "SOUL BROTHERS", which is now being reissued in analog with mono soundtracks from the time of its release. This album features Milt Jackson, who was popular for his cool bebop/standard jazz style centered around the bebop, and Ray Charles, a great artist of soul music/R&B. This album is Ray Charles' first album released on the Atlantic label. It was Ray Charles' second jazz album, following the release of "THE GREAT RAY CHARLES" on the Atlantic label. While Ray Charles' R&B songs were released as singles and garnered tremendous success in the pop market, his work in album format expressed his exploration of modern jazz. Ray Charles, who plays piano and alto saxophone, and the great vibraphonist Milt Jackson, are two of Atlantic's signature artists in a dream collaboration, creating a truly moving world of soulful exchanges on the subject of the simple blues.
