The soundtrack to Monica Z, the autobiographical film by Monica Zetterlund, was released in Sweden in the fall of 2013 and was a huge hit, attracting over 500,000 people in its home country. The soundtrack, which was already the talk of the town in Japan in the "JAZZ PERSPECTIVE vol. 8" magazine published in June 2014, is now finally available! Edda Magnason, herself a popular jazz singer/singer/songwriter, plays Monica in the play. She actually sings all the songs in the play, and this soundtrack includes them as well. She has a charming voice that is as good as the original Monica Zetalund's, and in some songs, even better than Monica's. The songs included are songs that Monica used to sing, so they will be familiar to jazz fans as well.
