Part of an ambitious project by Italian guitarist Cristiano Porcedu, this collection spans approximately 3 hours and 49 minutes and encompasses a diverse range of works by 15 composers, including world premiere recordings. From traditional compositional techniques to avant-garde approaches, this set explores the full potential of the guitar as an instrument for variation. [Included Works] ◆Styles range widely, from neo-classical works based on themes by the 19th-century master Fernando Sor to pieces incorporating elements of jazz and contemporary music. [Performer] ◆After studying at various music conservatories in Italy, Cristiano Porcedu studied 20th-century and contemporary repertoire under Angelo Girardino at the Lorenzo Perosi Academy. After winning prizes at international competitions, he began his professional career in 1997, performing throughout Europe and the United States. He is known for his meticulous technique and an intellectual approach that clearly highlights the structure of each piece. A masterful performer, he skillfully employs a wide range of timbres to convincingly convey the appeal of contemporary music to his audience. [Recording] ◆Recorded from December 15, 2023, to April 30, 2025, at the Church of Our Lady of Solitude in Nuoro, located in eastern Sardinia, Italy. [Product Specifications] ◆Total running time: approximately 229 minutes. The case is made of 24mm-thick polystyrene (multi-disc case). The included booklet (English, 20 pages) features track notes and other information. Manufactured in the EU; the disc is produced by Optimal Media of Germany, a company well-known for its work with major labels.
