Limited edition silver vinyl commemorating the 25th anniversary of the release of Oasis' fourth studio album "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants". Oasis will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its debut in 2024, and has announced a long-awaited reunion and a world tour starting in July 2025. Oasis has also decided to hold a long-awaited concert in Japan for the first time in 16 years since 2009, sending Japanese fans into a whirlpool of excitement. In the midst of all this, Oasis released the 25th anniversary edition of their fourth studio album "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants" on silver color vinyl on February 28, the same day the original was released. Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants" is a turning point in the history of Oasis. Following the sudden dissolution of the band's UK label Creation Records, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher established their own label, Big Brother Recording Ltd, in January 2000. Only seven weeks later, on February 7, 2000, the label's first single, "Go Let It Out," was produced and released at a rapid pace. It truly marked the beginning of a new era for Oasis. The creation of Big Brother, with Noel & Liam and the management team fully funded and independent, was an inevitable choice for the UK's most indie-minded band. Including the band's previous catalog and new releases, Big Brother has produced a total of 10 #1 albums in the UK and over 15 billion streams worldwide in its 25 years of existence. After the instant global success of Definitely Maybe (1994), (What's The Story) Morning Glory (1995), and Be Here Now (1997), Oasis followed up with Standing On The Shoulder Of (1995) and "Be Here Now" (1997), Oasis underwent a bold sonic evolution with the follow-up "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants". Noel Gallagher took a more multifaceted and experimental approach to recording, departing from the early Oasis sound and incorporating modern and psychedelic rock influences. This experimentation and richer sonic expression also had something to do with the fact that Noel took more time than ever before to work on the album.New instruments and techniques were introduced, and drum loops, sampling, electric sitar, mellotron, synthesizers, and counter-rotating guitars brought a new evolution to Oasis' music. Several tracks on the album feature sampling, a first for Oasis. For example, "Fuckin' In The Bushes" was taken from Murray Lerner's "Message to Love Isle of Wight 1970" and "Go Let It Out" was taken from Johnny Jenkins' "I Walk on Gilded Splinters". This album also marked the first time that Liam Gallagher contributed a song of his own ("Little James"), a trend that would continue on subsequent albums. (1/2)
