This substantial work is also a difficult piece that requires a high degree of mobility and delicate emotional expression. In addition to the two concertos, this collection offers an overview of Mozart's masterpieces for flute and orchestra, including the Andante, which is said to have been written as a replacement for the second movement of No. 1 at the request of the composer's client at the time (reportedly because the original was too difficult)." Shigenori Kudo is internationally acclaimed as a master of the "French School" tradition. The fluidity of the sound, backed by his solid technique, makes Mozart's masterpieces rich in expression. [Shigenori Kudo graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with first prize in 1979, won the 2nd Paris International Flute Competition, and the 1st J.P. Rampal International Flute Competition in 1980. He has also received the Kyoto Art Festival Prize, the Muramatsu Prize, the Honorary Citizenship Prize of Colmar, France, and the Lifetime Achievement Prize of Flaut, Italy. He has performed as a soloist in more than one hundred cities around the world, and has performed more than sixty flute concertos with famous conductors.He is currently a professor at Tokyo College of Music, a guest professor at Showa University of Music, and a professor at the Paris Ecole Normale.
