Zbigniew Preisener is a world-class composer from contemporary Poland who has established an unshakable position in the world of film music, having scored a variety of classic films and won awards such as the Cesar Award and the Berlin International Film Festival. My Life - Preisner's Music" is a special album commemorating the 70th anniversary of his birth. This work is a piano solo reinterpretation of Preisner's compositions by Dominik Wania. Wania is a member of the Maciej Obara Quartet and, like Preisner, is a Polish jazz pianist who has also recorded a leader album for the ECM label as a solo artist.In addition to songs from film scores from the 1980s to recent years, such as "Decalogue," "The Secret Garden," "On the Day I Spent with You," "Damage," "When a Man Loves a Woman," "Aberdeen," "The Two Veronikas," "The Informer," "Tricolor: Blue Love," and "Love Songs 1980," the program also features original songs from non-soundtracks such as "Lost and Love" and "Requiem for my Friend," in addition to songs from the film's original score. In addition to film music from the 1980s to more recent years, the program also features original non-soundtrack songs such as "Lost and Love" and "Requiem for my Friend".
