WONK, an experimental soul band based in Tokyo, and The Love Experiment, a group of young and talented musicians from New York City, have formed a collaboration between two up-and-coming bands that have received high acclaim for their outstandingly progressive music in the two music cities. The Love Experiment is a collaboration of two up-and-coming bands that have been highly acclaimed for their outstandingly progressive music in two music cities. The two bands share a common musical style that has been compared to The Internet and Hiatus Kaiyote, and their music is experimental and evocative of new horizons. The title and theme of this album by these two talented bands is "BINARY" (= two components, binary, duality, etc.). The two groups connecting two cities, Tokyo and New York, produced the album over seas based on the Internet, as if they were digital natives.The result is a world-class collection of 10 talented musicians from both bands, who have been influenced by all kinds of music from classical, hip-hop, rock, jazz, and electro, not to mention R&B/soul. The 15 songs on this album, including a beatlead, are a new world of sound that WONK and The Love Experiment have discovered together.
