Legendary singer/songwriter J.D. Souther, who was active in the West Coast music scene in the 1970s and has provided Linda Ronstadt and the Eagles with many classic songs, has released his live performance in San Francisco in 1976 as an official recording! Before his big breakthrough with "Your Only Lonely", J.D. Souther was already highly acclaimed by musicians for his classic albums "John David Souther (1972)" and "Black Rose (1976)", and also performed classic songs from the Souther-Hillman Furey Band era. ! John David Souther was born in Detroit in 1945 and grew up in Texas. He formed Longbranch Pennywhistle with Glenn Frey in 1970 and released his first solo album "John David Souther" in 1972. He then formed the Souther Hillman Furey Band with Chris Hillman, Richie Furey, and others, releasing "S.T." in 1974 and "Trouble in Paradise" in 1975 before disbanding.In 1976, the second album "Black Rose" was released. The album, which featured his then girlfriend Linda Ronstadt, David Crosby, and members of The Eagles, was highly acclaimed. In 1979, "You're Only Lonely" became a worldwide hit and was his breakthrough album. In the late 1980s, however, he began to focus more on songwriting and less on albums. In 2008, he returned with "If The World Was You," his first album in 25 years. Since then, he has released albums consistently and toured the world.
