This is a live performance of "My Homeland" that Kubelík gave in 1984 with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, which he had trained himself after leaving his homeland. This is a masterful performance in which Kubelík, while exuding an irrepressible passion, clearly depicts the fine strokes in the score and constructs music with a rare and exquisite balance. The climax of the last movement was not left to the momentum of the performance, but was fully realized with a great degree of intensity, and Kubelik's virtuosity shone through in this masterful performance. I found it to be the most sincere music of all his performances of the same piece.
