Popular voice actress Kana Hanazawa's first starring role in a live-action film! A father and daughter who want to revitalize their lives are connected through their feelings and thoughts in this slightly mysterious, intricate, but straightforward story. The film is directed by Murakami Tatsuya, who has directed music videos by Hanazawa Kana, and the screenplay was written for this film by Kenji Kurata, who won the Grand Prix at the "Sundance NHK International Filmmakers Award 2009". The father is played by Shigemitsu Ogi, who was the leader of the band Sepia and is now active as an actor in film and television. Kaede Anne is a picture book author. Her first book accidentally wins a rookie of the year award, and people around her have high expectations for her, but she has been in a slump since then. However, due to her freewheeling personality, she wastes time with her editor, Tomoe, by playing pranks on her, and there is no sign of progress in her writing. One day, Kaede sees a message board on a street corner looking for her missing cat, Perrot, which reads, "In exchange for reviving Perrot, I will take the sun from this world. Are you sure? Ann? Kaede finds a mysterious message on a message board.Kaede also searches for other mysterious messages left on message boards around town one after another. Kaede realizes that they are the writings of her father, Kohei, a novelist who disappeared when she was a child...
