In this collection of 11 commissioned works by the ensemble, the members of the Yamaha Symphonic Band portray to perfection the world of a Japanese composer full of individuality in a variety of formations. In addition to popular composers Toshio Majima, Jun Nagao, Soichi Konagaya, and Fumio Tamura, the ensemble also includes a variety of works by up-and-coming young composer Miho Hasama and "Luna," which won the gold prize at the National Ensemble Contest.
