Felix Clary Weatherall, aka Ross From Friends, is a London-based producer who creates music with diverse influences ranging from hip-hop to various types of dance music. His debut album "Family Portrait", released in 2018 on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder label, was named best of the year by NME, Crack Magazine, Mixmag, and various other media, solidifying his reputation in both name and reality. He has now released his latest album, "Tread". His latest work, "Tread", is sophisticated and beautifully melodic yet danceable, nostalgic yet modern.As unique as the sound of this album is its production process. Felix was so stressed by the constant need to start, stop, and save recordings when using his instruments through his computer that he finally decided to create his own software. The resulting plug-in, "Thresho," freed him from this stress and allowed him to devote 100% of his time to production. The lead single, "The Daisy," is a three-dimensional track that sounds as if it is coming out of the speakers, with Ross From Friends' signature vocal and melody over a two-step rhythm that resonates emotionally. The Japanese CD version of the album includes an additional bonus track and a commentary.
