Tectonic" and "COLD", who have been pursuing the deepest sound from dubstep to bass techno with their two wheels, have finally completed the collaboration of the century! Pinch's sense of rhythm and sharpness in the opener "Shadowrun" (M-1), with its rolling tribal metal percussion, and the lead track "Africa 138" (M-9), with its dangerous groove of trap-like odd time signatures, is brilliant, and the album also features the work of Lee Perry, Prince Farai, and other treasured artists. The ghetto bass of "Muisc Killer Dub" (M-2), which is bursting with the secret voices of Lee Perry and Prince Farai, shows a ferocious update from the EP version, and the "Africa 138" (M-9), the lead track, is a dangerous groove with a strange beat, and Pinch's sense of rhythm is brilliant.Adrian's work on "RunThem Away" (M-10), in which the bass line brings back the late Bim Sherman's voice, is a must for ON-U fans! The Bristol-sounding melancholic downtempo "Wild Birds" (M-5) and the exotic "Stand Strong" (M-6) are also outstanding results of their collaboration. The mastering of this astonishing sound, a collision of Pinch's sharp and cutting-edge sensibilities and Adrian's expert craftsmanship, was done by Rashad Becker, the master of the works of PAN and sound craftsman Monolake, whose works have catapulted from left-field electronic sounds to the frontiers of bass and techno.
