Directed and written by up-and-coming director Lim Dae-hyun, this is his second feature film.Inspired by Iwai Shunji's "Love Letter," the film was shot on location in Otaru, Hokkaido, and depicts the memories of love that two women have kept deep in their hearts. The main character, Yoon Hee, is played by Kim Hee Ae of the hit Korean drama "The World of Married Couples. The Japanese woman, Jun, is played by Nakamura Yuko of "Strawberry Shortcakes. Other cast members include Kim Sohee, formerly of I.O.I, Song Yubin, Kino Hana, Kimi Takiuchi of "Yuuko's Balance," and Yoo Jae-myung of "Itaewon Class. Sincerely depicting the homosexuality of middle-aged women and the oppression they have experienced, which has rarely been portrayed head-on in Korea, the film has received enthusiastic support from the LGBTQ+ community and women in Korea and will be screened at the 2019 Pusan International Film Festival alongside Celine Siama's "Portrait of a Burning Woman" and Xavier Dolan's "Matthias & Maxim," among other films, won the Queer Camellia Award. The festival's jury commented, "It has been a long time since I have seen a film that has given me such a thrilling experience. It was the most exciting experience I have had watching a film in a long time, especially since it was made in Korea and depicts a love story of women.In Japan, it was screened with the same title at the 6th Korean Film Festival in Osaka in November 2020, where it was enthusiastically received. It is a gem of a love story that has created a "Full Moon Troupe" of fans in Korea, and has received rave reviews and sympathy from many film fans and critics.
