This is a popular series that is being released one after another at affordable budget prices. The artwork design is white and eye-catching, and the booklet is not included in this set. Jean-Louis Barrault, an old friend of Boulez and one of the most famous French actors and directors of the 20th century, plays the role of Lélio. Boulez succeeded Bernstein as Chief Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Music Director of the New York Philharmonic in 1971, and the overtures, "Summer Nights" and "Cleopatra's Death," recorded shortly thereafter, are also included.
