Tom Odell, "The Piano Nobleman," releases his third album "Jubilee Road," his first in two years. Manchester-based singer/songwriter Tom Odell signed to Columbia's In The Name Of label (founded by Lily Allen) in 2012 and made his international debut with the album "Long WayDown" in June 2013. The album received rave reviews from all quarters, calling her voice "full of vitality that draws the heart" (NME) and "a heartbreaking piano ballad that stirs the soul" (Daily Star). In July 2013, right after the release of the album, the band already visited Japan for Fuji Rock. In June 2016, his second album "Wrong Crowd" was released. The title of their third album in two years, "Jubilee Road," is the name of a fictional street. The songs were written in the quiet surroundings of Tom's terrace house in East London, and the lyrics are his most personal to date, focusing on events close to his own heart.The first single from the album, "Half As Good As You," is a beautiful ballad with a piano melody typical of Tom Odell, featuring German female singer Alice Merton. 11 gems that have gained even more depth in sound and lyrical expression since turning 27 years old. I recommend this album for a long autumn evening.
