That stage, the audience, and the performance were all perfect, and it's a moment that will last a lifetime in my career," commented Susan Tedeschi. ■■ 2015, performed at the LOCKN' Festival in Virginia, this special performance commemorated the 45th anniversary of Joe Cocker & Leon Russell's legendary "Mad Dogs & Englishmen" tour in 1970. This was a special tribute set. The Tedeschi Trucks Band and Leon Russell were joined by original members Rita Coolidge, Chris Stainton, and Claudia Linia. In addition, Warren Haynes, Dave Mason, Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, Anders Osborn, and a variety of other guests joined them, making for a stellar lineup of over 20 people on stage. The live performance featured passionate and emotional renditions of many classic songs, including "Feelin' Alright," "The Weight," and "With A Little Help From My Friends. The Tedeschi Trucks Band, known for their dynamic playing and emotional performances, breathed new life into these classic songs.Susan Tedeschi's vocals blend beautifully with the powerful horn section and gospel-style backing vocals, while Derek Trucks adds his own unique fluidity and emotion on slide guitar to the soulful fire of the original arrangement.
