Here is the '24 release from the Dutch symphonic/gothic metal band formed in the late 00s by Ivar De Graaf (drs/per) and Judith Rijnveld (vo), formerly of WITHIN TEMPTATION! This is a limited analog edition. This is their first full-length album in 6 years, completed after 3 EPs since their last album "Technicoloured Eyes". Produced by the same band members as the previous album, this album is a return to the gothic/symphonic metal route with HM dynamism, while utilizing the experience of the previous album, which brought out the best of Judith's beautiful vocals through understated arrangements that also approached the neo-folk side of music. The album is rich in variety.The band's dramatic sound, which is based on WITHIN TEMPTATION, is combined with graceful melodies with a sense of purity typical of the Netherlands, Celtic/Traditional tones represented by "Nobody Else is Watching" and "Dormancy", and a deep cello sound created by cellist Maaike Peterse (vc), who was also active in AYREON, to make the band's individuality stand out even more. Edward Reekers (vo), formerly of KAYAK, plays on "Feeding the Wolves", and Troy Donockley (pipe), who has supported MAGENTA/IONA/Dave Bainbridge and others in addition to his work as a member of NIGHTWISH, plays on "Feeding the Wolves". Troy Donockley (pipe), who is a member of NIGHTWISH and also supports MAGENTA/IONA/Dave Bainbridge, etc., will guest on "Feeding the Wolves" and "Dormancy" respectively.
