Pianist Andree Dragan, who was fascinated by Mozart's works, released an album of his solo piano works (50-3033) in the same year, which included only his variations, and it was well received. Three years have passed since then. This year (2024) marks the 180th anniversary of Franz Xaver's death. To commemorate this, Dragan is releasing the second volume! The two piano concertos are included in this release. Franz Xaver, who studied under Hummel, Salieri, and others, made successful tours as a pianist throughout Europe, and left behind piano and vocal works as a composer. As a successful pianist, Franz Xaver wrote piano works that are littered with highly effective techniques. Dragan plays brilliantly with the Winterthur Music Collegium led by Bogdan Bojovic.
