Dilla, with a crappy snare intertwined with a sludgy beat and neoclassical soul-inspired electric piano chords and funky basslines. and funky bass lines. Above all, Tom Misch's trademark smooth guitar technique had already reached the point of perfection at this point.This album was a major catalyst in his rise from underground producer to one of the leading figures in the South London music scene. The dominant element throughout the album is a fine soulfulness, based on beats in the direct vein of J. Dilla, but with well-crafted chord progressions and dynamic, guitar-driven, live instrument-driven song development.This is a must-have masterpiece for fans of the artist, who has already demonstrated his one and only talent in his subsequent big break.
