Tröjan was formed in 1982 in Wigan, Greater Manchester, U.K., by guitarist Pete Widdeson, and developed a fast-paced, high-octane sound in the melodic vein of NWOBHM, a pioneer in the new wave of speed metal and thrash metal that was emerging at the time. Tröjan became legendary with the release of the album "Chasing the Storm" on Roadrunner in 1985. The limited press reissue of "Chasing the Storm" is now available in a 5-CD box set that includes the only "Chasing the Storm", live recordings and demos from Holland, and "Killing The World", an album released in 1989 under the new name "Taliön", live and demo recordings, and more. The 5-CD box set will be released by Dissonance Records, an affiliate of Cherry Red.
