Genesis released their 6th album "Selling England By The Pound" on October 13, 1973. In conjunction with this album, the band toured Europe, North America, England, and North America for eight months, starting with a performance in Paris, France on September 19 of the same year and ending in New York on May 6 of the following year, performing 115 shows. This strenuous touring effort was rewarded with the album reaching No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart, No. 70 on the US Albums Chart, and the band's first gold disc. The second show on December 18, 1973, the second of six shows in three days in Los Angeles during the first half of the North American leg of the tour, was recorded for a special program on local FM stations KLOS and KMET. The set list for that day was 9 songs in total, so one song (More Fool Me) was excluded from the recording. The performance reflects the band's passion for success in the U.S., even though they had already established themselves in Europe.Included as bonus tracks are three additional songs from the archival live performance they did for a BBC Radio program on March 2, 1972!
