Description:
The long-awaited LP release of the long-awaited compilation series of disc guide "City Soul Disc Guide - Enjoy with City Pop, Soul, AOR & Blue Eyed Soul," a disc guide with a new approach to the topic! City Soul is a concept word to collectively introduce Soul, AOR & Blue Eyed Soul with the same taste as City Pop, which continues to be revived and popular. It has been developed around the two books "City Soul Disc Guide" (DU BOOKS) and the compilation CD series "City Soul" (P-VINE), both of which are currently on sale and have been well received. This product is the first analog release under the "City Soul" brand. It is a compilation of 10 tracks carefully selected from approximately 100 tracks on all 5 CDs in the "City Soul" CD series. Almost all of the songs are being released on analog for the first time in the world. Songs that will appeal to AOR fans include "Nothing You Can Do About It," a cover of the popular Airplay song by David Foster & Jay Graydon.Songs such as Samuel Purdie's "Whatever I Do" by former members of Jamiroquai will appeal to Blue Eyed Soul lovers, while the 90s R&B revival of "One In A Billion" by a Taiwanese singer and "This Summer" by a popular Japanese band will be performed with all English lyrics. In addition, a Taiwanese singer's 90s R&B revival "One In A Billion" and a popular Japanese band's "This Summer," all with English lyrics, are among the 10 songs on this album. This is a disc that appeals to listeners of all ages, meeting the needs of today's analog disc buyers. As in the past series, the booklet includes a Japanese commentary by Akira Obuchi (former editor-in-chief of bmr), the author/editor of "City Soul Disc Guide" and a long-time introduction to the Western music scene with a focus on black music, which provides a thorough explanation of ongoing "city soul" and is also a great read!
