From the popular disc guide "Japanese Rarealic Disc Guide", which introduces Japanese music sources that captivate even foreign diggers, "Today's Latin Project" (1983), a rare disc that combines Afro-Cuban/Latin standards with the essence of early 80's jazz and fusion, has been reissued on vinyl! LP reissue! Produced by Naoteru Misuna of the Tokyo Cuban Boys, who introduced Latin music to the Japanese music scene shortly after World War II, and Jun Takemura, who has continued to convey the appeal of Latin music since the 1970s, this is a historically important work that strove to promote Latin music from a new perspective in the 1980s, when the transition from analog to digital music took place. An important work of history! The arrangers include Yasuaki Shimizu, who has been active with the experimental rock band Mariah and whose solo works have attracted much attention in recent years, and Kazuo Otani of SHOGUN, whose Western rock-based style had a great impact on the music scene at the time. The album is a gem of electronic Latin sound, produced not only in Japan but also at a world-class quality.
