After 2 years and 2 months since their last ALBUM "Gravity and Breathing", their memorable 20th original album "SOUNDTRACKS" will finally be released! Mr. Children has been seeking "new musical possibilities" and "stimulation" since July 2019, after the end of DOME TOUR 2019 "Against All GRAVITY" which drew 400,000 people, and has been working with Steve Fitzmaurice, the Grammy-winning engineer who worked on Seal, U2, Sting and Sam Smith, to produce the ALBUM. All songs were recorded at RAK Studios (London) and Sunset Sound (LA), where many world-class albums have been recorded. The band members put their hearts and souls into each and every note of each song and performance in order to capture in music all the precious encounters with the talented musicians and staff led by Steve Fitzmaurice and Simon Hale, who crossed the ocean many times. Mastering was done by Randy Merrill of Sterling Sound.The best ALBUM is now ready for all Mr. Children lovers to listen to. The album contains 10 songs in total: "Birthday / Kimi to Tomoni to Ai to Ai to Monologue", the theme song for "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's New Dinosaur" (March), "The song of praise", the new theme song for Nippon Television's morning information program "ZIP ! (Nippon Television Network Corporation's morning information program in April), "The song of praise", Kirin Beer's "Kirin Special Strong" commercial song "others", and "turn over?", the theme song for TBS' Tuesday drama "Okane no Kiri ga Koi no Hajimari" in September. The cover design, music video, and all other artwork for the album were designed by the up-and-coming creative collective PERIMETRON. Mr. Children's first "Vinyl" will be released as a 180-gram heavy analog record (1 vinyl) with half-speed cutting by Miles Showell of Abbey Road Studios.
