This unique masterpiece—a full-length acoustic cover of YMO’s first album, *Yellow Magic Orchestra (’78)*—is being released on vinyl for the first time, some 20 years after its original release. Haruomi Hosono contributes to two tracks. This 2005 release by the music unit “Toibox,” led by Kenichiro Isoda—who has been active since the 1980s as a composer and producer across a wide range of genres including ambient, minimal music, world music, and film scores—is finally available on LP. The album offers a rich adaptation that combines faithful homage to the original works with exploratory reinterpretations. Released by “Flowmango,” this masterpiece of a cover album takes dynamic leaps—at times quirky, yet imbued with a mysterious warmth—as it soars with boundless imagination.
