After two 7inch singles that were big hits, they have climbed to a new level and released their latest full-length album! The SKAMOTTS were formed by a group of talented artists from a variety of backgrounds who agreed with Tomoko Okamura's strong initial impulse toward ska. The SKAMOTTS made their impressive debut on Playwright the year before last. The preceding 7inch single featuring "Aya Nakano", "Takamichi Kasai (Amefurashi Quartet)", and "Kuro (TAMTAM)" was an exceptional hit, attracting attention from a wide range of people from DJs/selectors to the rudest boys in town, and rapidly growing to become a part of the new generation ska scene. The band has rapidly grown to become a part of the new generation ska scene. Their latest album "Pleasure Isle" is a masterpiece that allows you to fully experience their unique ska sound, arranged via The Skatalites, which can be said to be their true essence. In the context of covers, which is one of the best parts of ska music, the SKAMOTTS' sharp sense of style shines through in a number of covers, including The Skatalites' "From Russia With Love" and Clarence Curvan's "Rip Van Winkle," both well-known on the scene, and Corinne Bailey Rae's "Put Your Records On," which also attracted attention on their first 7inch.
