Description:

Richard Tognetti & ACO visit to Japan! The Australian Chamber Orchestra's self-produced disc is now available! The Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO), under the artistic direction of Richard Tognetti, Australia's National Living Treasure and one of the country's leading violinists, conductors, and arrangers, has released a self-produced disc! A commemorative disc with commentary in Japanese has been produced to celebrate their 2023 tour of Japan. Among the Tonetti & ACO's illustrious recording assets are Bach's Concerto for 2 Violins recorded in 2005 (soloists Tonetti and Principal Violinist Helena Rathbone), Beethoven's String Quartet recorded in 2016 (Tonetti's own arrangement for string orchestra! !) and Brahms' Symphony No. 3, recorded in 2015. Richard Tognetti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, which has a "deep connection" with Japan and continues to bring a fresh new style to the world, will be visiting Japan for a commemorative recording! The Australian Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1975.In 1990, the group welcomed Richard Tognetti, then just 25 years old, as its artistic director, and has since been active in a variety of activities in Japan and abroad as part of the new wave in the classical music world. With a distinctive style that includes the use of standing members other than cellos and gut strings, the orchestra has taken up a wide range of music from baroque to contemporary music. Richard Tognetti was the first in Australia to adopt the Suzuki Method, and members with ties to Japan such as Satu Yuriko Vänskä and Kazuko Goto have also studied with the Suzuki Method.
