Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) was so shocked by the failure of the premiere of his "First Symphony" in 1897 that he stopped composing for a while, However, he managed to recover and wrote his "Piano Concerto No. 2" in 1900, which was a great success, and he finally regained his confidence as a composer. However, it was almost six years later that he began work on his second symphony. This piece, written at a time when his public life and private life had become more fulfilling, is full of dramatic and wonderful melodies in every corner. The first movement is gloomy and has a wide range of ideas, the second movement is a scherzo with an impressive horn motive, the third movement is too beautiful and can be said to be the highlight of this piece, and the final movement is a dramatic climax.Please gently add the orchestral version of Vocalise recorded in the margins to your favorites.
