Elodie Vignon is a young female pianist based in Brussels. She has been fascinated by Debussy's works since she was a child and has explored the poetic beauty of his music. In this album, she tackles the complete "Exercises," the masterpieces of his last years, and reveals the functionality of the works and their mysterious harmony. The second half of the album is accompanied by a poem (read by Clara Inglese) by the Belgian poet Lucien Nurey, who beautifully describes her feelings about the work. This "fusion of sound and words" further emphasizes the dreaminess of Debussy's work. Naxos Japan
