Edith Pyneman (1937-2023) was a famous German female violinist who sadly passed away last year. We are pleased to present a recording entrusted to us by Pyneman before her death. This recording was given to Pyneman by Sell. The Brahms Violin Concerto is a fan favorite. It is performed with the Cleveland Orchestra. It is well known that Sell highly appreciated Pyneman and led him to perform not only with the Cleveland Orchestra but also with other orchestras. Clean and unmistakable. The violin leaps and soars with a wonderful grace that does not fall into nervousness. Cell's magnificent backing was also impressive. The following year, a session recording with Oistrakh was made, making a commercial release of this performance virtually impossible. Please note that although the sound quality is not bad, there are some parts where the tape preservation is poor. Muse Trading Co.
