Fakear is the solo project of Theo Le Vigle, an electronic producer from Normandy, France. He rose to prominence in the mid-2010s through album releases on Ninja Tune and Counter Records, his production work on MIA’s *AIM*, and his remixes for Aluna George, garnering attention as a prodigious talent set to shape the future of the French electronic music scene. His long-awaited new album, *ANicePlacetoBe*, marks the first time Theo has spoken so candidly about his humanity, emotions, and himself. Filled with conflicting emotions—nostalgia and hope, love and anger, loneliness and celebration—this album is a delicate autobiography built upon memories of his adolescence, when he was a skateboard-obsessed, emo and metal-loving teenager constantly searching for his place in the world.
