The film closely follows the daily life of Eiko Kadono, a children's literature author known for her novel "The Witch's Delivery Service. At her home in Kamakura, surrounded by "strawberry-colored" walls and bookshelves of her own choosing, she wears her trademark colorful fashion and unique glasses. On the other hand, she lost her mother at the age of 5 and experienced war. She moved to Brazil at the age of 24 after her marriage and made her debut as a writer at the age of 35. ....... The soundtrack for this documentary film, which grew out of an NHK E-television program that began airing in 2020, was created by London-based composer Dai Fujikura, who won numerous music awards after moving to England on his own at age 15. He has been inundated with requests for new works from orchestras and performers, and this is the first time he has composed music for an entire film. The joyful sound of Fujikura's own kalimba is a treat to hear.
