Description:
In 1985, a two-disc soundtrack disc of Tobe Hooper's epic space horror film "Space Vampires" was released. The intense and exciting orchestral score, including the theme song, is so well-known that it is still often heard and has become a true classic. In fact, during the post-production phase before the film's release, Mancini had to make some hasty additions and changes to the score, but due to scheduling conflicts, he was unable to take charge, so a number of Michael Kamen's pieces were added and eventually used in the film. This film is a collection of only Mancini's songs, and his grand dynamic score, which is truly a space opera, is considered by some to be the most powerful work of his long career. At the time of its release, CD2 contains 15 tracks, including the original CD program released by VARESE and alternative tracks. Meanwhile, an album containing only Michael Kamen's score will be released simultaneously.
