Carlton & The Shoes, led by Jamaican Rock Steady treasure Carlton Manning, whose 1982 masterpiece "This Heart Of Mine" is often re-released in Japan and abroad, released their first album in 9 years, "Heart Throbs" in 2011. Carlton Manning, who was 73 years old at the time, sings with a tender, loving voice that only his advancing age can bring out over rock steady/reggae/dub/jazz rhythms, and delivers dreamy harmonies that only Carlton can create.
