The "Mainz Edition" of Mozart's "Requiem" (PROP6211/ROP6211), arranged and completed by Birger Petersen and Franz Kusaffer Jussmeier, the newly reconstructed Bach "Mark Passion" recorded for the Christophorus label, and the world premiere recording of Bach's "The Passion" in its early 1744 edition (CHR77423). The Felix Koch & Neumeier Consort, who have made some eye-catching and interesting recordings such as the newly reconstructed version of Bach's "Mark Passion" (CHR77423) for the Christophorus label, have released another one that cannot be missed! The British musicologist Malcolm Bruno spent eight years researching the details of the score of the masterpiece "Messiah," which has many versions, including the Dublin premiere version, the London premiere version, and the Abandoned Child Foster Home version, as Handel repeatedly made detailed revisions each time it was performed. After careful consideration of the minor differences in the arias and the controversial woodwind parts, he completed a new early edition based on two autograph scores, reconstructing an earlier manuscript from 1741, which was published by Breitkopf und Härtel in 2018.The world premiere recording of the new 1741 Messiah, which Bruno hopes will "give you the experience of hearing the Messiah for the first time, as if the ink were still wet on Handel's manuscript," is a must-see.
