Joseph Vallet de Montigny (1665-1738) was a French composer whose name remains little known and whose works remain unperformed simply because their scores have never been published. After serving in various churches, Montigny served at the Cathedral of Saint-Soulin in Bordeaux from 1729 until his death. The Antiphona Ensemble has recorded two of Montigny's finest works.
