Schubert (1797-1828)

Description:

The Modigliani String Quartet and world-famous musicians such as Xavine Meyer perform Schubert's Octet, which was founded in 2003. He decided to stop his career as a musician. The quartet is now joined by a new member, Amri Coeitot, an old friend who was concert master of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. The third piece by the new members is Schubert's Octet. The third piece by the new members is Schubert's Octet, featuring clarinet, horn, bassoon, string quartet, and double bass, and performed by a group of world-renowned musicians. First of all, the sublime tone of the strings, especially Modigliani's, was a surprise, and the wind ensemble was noble itself. The ensemble of the winds is noble and beautiful. Schubert's Octet, composed in March 1824, is the largest of his chamber works. It was composed at the request of Count Ferdinand, who loved the clarinet. The Count often played at the musical evenings that were held at the lawyer's house at the time, where Schubert also frequented. The Count also played with the violinist Spanzig, who was also known as an excellent performer of Mozart and Beethoven's string quartets. Beethoven's Seventh Quartet was very popular at the time, and he asked Schubert to create a work similar to it. More than 20 years after Schubert's death, the work was published once in 1853 with the exception of the 4th and 5th movements, and the complete work was published in 1875. It was composed at the same time as the string quartets "Rosamunde" and "Death and the Maiden," and "The Beautiful Water Mill Girl" was completed shortly thereafter, making it a work from a very productive period. Instead of the standard four-movement structure of symphonies and string quartets of the time, it has the same six-movement structure as Beethoven's Seventh Quartet, which is more of a divertimento, or rather, a piece for enjoyment. It is a work filled with melodies of heavenly beauty.Zabine Meyer is one of the world's top players, having served as principal clarinet with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra before embarking on a solo career and founding the Zabine Meyer Wind Ensemble. Bruno Schneider was born in Switzerland, and from 1986 to 1993 he was the solo hornist of the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Bayern and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. He is a founding member of the Sabine Meyer Wind Ensemble. Dirk Jensen was born in Norway and was principal horn player of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra from 1985 to 1988, and of the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Cologne from 1988 to 1997. In 1984 and 1990, he won prizes at the difficult Munich International Music Competition. Knut Erik Sundquist is one of Norway's leading double bass players, a longtime member of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, and a former member of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra. King International
