Following the release of his previous album "The Phoenix" in 2020, Simon Phillips, a renowned drummer whom Derek respects and admires, fully cooperated in the album's production not only as a drummer for all the songs, but also as a co-producer and co-songwriter with Derek. In addition to his superb keyboard playing full of guitar-like phrasing, which is typical of Derek, who professes to be an avid guitar fan, this album also follows the collaboration style of featuring a skilled guitarist on each song, which has become a regular feature in Derek's works.The notable guest guitarists include Zakk Wylde, Steve Lukather, Ron "Bumblefoot" Searle, Joe Bonamassa, and Steve Stevens, all of whom are well known as Derek's fellow musicians, as well as Michael Schenker and Nuno Bettencourt, who Derek has been hoping to have on the album, In addition to "Bullfoot" Searle, Joe Bonamassa, and Steve Stevens, Derek's long-sought-after additions include Michael Schenker, Nuno Bettencourt, and Mike Stern, making a total of eight super guitarists in the lineup.
