The "MOZART 22" series has begun! This year's Salzburg Festival was filled with the music of Mozart. The highlight of the festival was the "MOZART 22" project, a series of 22 Mozart works for the stage. In addition to the Vienna Philharmonic and the Salzburg orchestra, leading European opera houses and regional theaters in Germany also performed in this project. The singers are diverse, ranging from star singers like Netrebko to young singers who are currently on the market. The production team is also noteworthy in that it depicts Mozart's operas from a variety of perspectives, including the 28-year-old Hermann in "Ascanio in Alba" and Delier, a leading female film director in Germany today, in "The False Gardener. Universal Music will record the entire performance on video, with a total of 18 DVD titles to be released in two installments by DG and DECCA.This month we introduce the first eight titles! ＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝The beautiful performance of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Muti, as well as the strong performance of the singers, including Parpe, who excels in the role of Zarathustro, are impressive in "The Magic Flute". The "Aria of the Queen of the Night" by soprano Damrau (who also appeared in "Ascanio in Alba"), which was highly acclaimed locally, is especially wonderful, and her powerful singing and acting, along with the Queen's costumes, overwhelm the audience.
