Description:
A Collection of Religious Vocal Works by Ippolito Getti! A valuable collection of sacred vocal works by Ippolito Getti (c. 1655–c. 1725), an Italian musician active from the late 16th to the early 17th century who wore many hats: composer, music theorist, Augustinian friar, and Bachelor of Theology. His oratorios and dialogues, based on figures from the Old Testament such as Abel, Adam, Abraham, and David, are among Gezzi’s masterpieces. He is a little-known master who contributed significantly to the development of music in Siena, Italy. Tokyo M Plus
