There were many ensembles for brass in the Baroque or earlier periods. Gabrieli and Monteverdi, Bach and Handel. They preferred the glorious sound of brass in transferring the voice of God to their instruments. However, composers of the Romantic period rarely wrote music for brass septet. Therefore, the ensemble "Septura" has arranged choral and organ works by Brahms, Bruckner, Mendelssohn, and Schumann for brass ensemble. The ensemble "Septura" has created natural and wonderful works that sound as if they were original compositions. The members of the Septura are young brass players from the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Opera, and the Aurora Orchestra.One can only marvel at this superb ensemble.
